Hi everyone,

Thank you to everyone who joined BeeTogether today, and to those who have been part of our previous events and WhatsApp groups.

We spoke about how the big platforms hoard leads, data and insights. We promised to do things differently.

That’s why BeeTogether profiles are public to the community. We want you to find each other, connect directly and create opportunities without us sitting in the middle.

We’ve also built the forum so the conversation doesn’t end when the event does.

Create your profile. Start a topic. Join a group. Share what you’re working on. Ask for help. Offer help.

Today was a good example of what can happen.

We had an astrophysics PhD student looking to raise funds for her research, and Jamie talking about the value of great storytelling and the problem of “AI slop”.

Why couldn’t they collaborate on a sci-fi story inspired by the research, build an audience and perhaps even raise funding?

It may work. It may not. But that’s the point.

Unexpected ideas come from people in different worlds getting to know and trust each other.

And remember, this community is not just talk. Joe from Metro Bank is here. Our investors are here. There are others with access to capital who are reading, watching and looking for interesting people and ideas.

So don’t just lurk in the WhatsApp group.

Put yourself on the map.

Be active here in our forum!

Tell people who you are, what you’re working on and what you need.

The more we share, the more useful this community becomes.

A couple of important notes:

Website access: The error message shown when trying to access websites promoted at the event was caused by the Wi-Fi at Mollie’s, not by a security issue with the sites. We are sorry for the inconvenience and will raise this issue with the venue.

Contact: For speaking opportunities, partnerships and other enquiries, please contact us through the forum or at contact@gosme.biz, not through LinkedIn.

See you in the forum and at the next BeeTogether.

The BeeTogether Team
